1. About Subscription and the car

1. What is Car subscription and how does it work?

Subscription is simply the least expensive and fastest way to own a car.

  • Think Zero downpayment!

2. How long can I subscribe for a car?

Tenures are available from 3 months to 48 months. You can select a tenure depending on your need. The longer you subscribe, the lesser is your monthly Subscription Fee.

 

3. Which cars can I subscribe to? What are the variants?

Nissan’s Shared Subscription currently offers Nissan Kicks & Nissan Magnite. It is available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, NCR (Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad), Chennai, Pune. Check the car variants available in your city here.

 

4. When will the car be delivered?

We will deliver the car within 4 weeks after the first month subscription fee is received. Please note that timelines can vary slightly across cities based on the availability of the selected car for subscription and also the vehicle color. For some variants, waiting time could be higher depending on availability.

 

5. When will my car Subscription start?

Your car subscription will start only after the car is delivered to you. So you can pay the subscription fee with complete peace of mind. Your billing cycle will start only when the car is in your hands.

 

6. How many kms can I drive my car during the subscription? Is there a km cap?

We understand your usage can be varied and there is a fair usage policy of 1000 kms per month over the tenure of your subscription. For example - In case you have subscribed to 24 months, you can drive for 24000 kms over the subscription tenure. Excess km charges will be Rs 7 per KM (to be calculated at the end of the subscription period).

 

7. Who will be responsible for the service and maintenance?

  • We will be responsible for the services and maintenance. Please refer the subscription agreement for more details.
  • You can request a pick-up service any time by contacting our customer support on the Nissan Subscription App. Relax at your home while we get the car serviced and get it back to you. Remember we promised "hassle-free"!
  • Service would be done at Nissan’s authorized service centres only.

8. How can I earn by sharing the car?

When your Nissan car is idle for a particular time period, you can share it on the Zoomcar platform for short term rentals. To do the same, you can create a ‘Listing’ for your car through the Nissan Subscription mobile application. After successfully creating a listing, you will receive bookings on your car during the listing period you have chosen. For every booking that Zoomcar successfully gets completed on your car, it will share with you approximately 60% of the earnings from the booking( No fuel). On a monthly level, you can earn as much as 40% of your monthly Subscription Fee through sharing your car.

 

9. Will I receive a new car once I subscribe?

Yes, We deliver Brand new cars unless you Opt to subscribe to an Unboxed vehicle.

 

10. Can I extend my Subscription tenure?

  • Tenure can be extended anytime during the subscription period. Given the huge demand for this product, we suggest you do this at least 30 days before the scheduled end date of the subscription, as the extension is subject to availability of the car.
  • Do note that extension will be done at the prevailing subscription fee at the time of extension. Hence, we suggest you subscribe for longer tenures in advance.

11. How will I handle accidents when I am driving? What do I do  if the car meets with an accident?

We wish you to drive safely and never have to go through this! However, in an unfortunate event, just call our customer Support [contact details will be available in the email id : - nissan.sales@zapsubscribe.com / IVR :- 08068972198 and we will take it from there.

 

12. Do I get to choose the color of my Nissan car as well?

Yes, all the available colour options are visible on the listing page here.

 

13. Can I buy my Nissan car I have subscribed to?

Yes, you can buy the car you have subscribed to. Just drop us a note [ email id : - nissan.sales@zapsubscribe.com / IVR :- 08068972198 ] and we will make a way for you to own the car.

 

14. Is there a speed limit in the car?

  • As per government regulations, all the commercial cars need to be fitted with speed governors (speed limiting device). So yes, if you go for a black plate
    car  then it comes with a speed governor installed that limits your speed to 80 km/h. Do remember that this is for your own safety.
  • If you go for a private registered car that is a white plate where you cannot register for shareback then you will not have a speed governors(speed limiting device).

 

15. What sort of registration will the car have?  

  • Nissan’s Subscribed vehicles would be registered as a commercial car in self drive with yellow fonts and black number plate it will be registered in the name of Orix.
  • White Plate Registration is a private registration car registered in the name of the subscriber.

 

16. Under whose name the car would be registered?

The subscribed car is yours till during the subscription period and you use it like it’s your own. But for RTO and legal formalities all cars subscribed would be registered under the name of Orix Auto Infrastructure Services Ltd who is the asset partner for Nissan’s  Shared Subscription and for White Plate the car would be registered in your name.

 

17.  Which parties are involved in offering Nissan Shared subscription?

  • Nissan shared subscription platform is managed and operated by Nissan motor company Limited.
  • The subscription program is operated and managed by Orix Auto Infrastructure Services Ltd.
  • Zoomcar India Private Limited manages a shareback program offered as part of NIO Subscription plan.

 

18. Can I end my subscription any time I like?

  • Yes, Nissan Shared Subscription is a purely no strings attached program and you can end the Subscription anytime by contacting us on the Subscription App.
  • However, there is a Minimum tenure lock-in period for every subscription. This means, if you want to end the subscription before Minimum tenure, you will have to pay the balance subscription fee for the remaining lockin period at the existing price plus differential subscription fee for the lock-in period and the existing subscription fee.
  • In case if you want to end your subscription prematurely after the lock-in period of Minimum tenure you will have to pay the cumulative differential amount equal to the subscription fee set for one tenure shorter than the selected month of closure, for the period up-to the termination month. For eg - If you have selected the subscription tenure for 36 months and you wish to end your subscription in the 14th month, then you will have to pay the differential amount between applicable subscription fee of 12 months and the selected subscription fee for 36 months Differential amount = (Applicable subscription fee - Existing Subscription fee)* months of usage.
  • That said, we are sure this question would become irrelevant for you as you would never want to terminate before the scheduled date.

10.3 In Addition to the above clause (10.1 & 10.2) I further agree and understand that in case of Premature Termination, the Permissible Kilometer shall be calculated on a prorated basis for the no of months used during Subscription Period and if the Vehicle is driven more than the Permissible Kilometer then I shall be charged and liable to pay extra kilometer charges, as applicable and as stated in Annexure 1.

2. About Payment, Credit check and Deposit

1. When will I get back the security deposit?

Security deposit will be refunded in 10 working days for BNP and 15 working days for WNP after the end of subscription tenure.

 

2. What is Reserve?

You can pay a small token amount to reserve your car and take the process of subscription ahead for detailed eligibility check and document verification.

Your car subscription will be confirmed only after a detailed eligibility check, payment of security deposit and E-Nach activation.

 

3. What if I cancel my subscription after paying a reserve amount?

Reserved amount will be refunded within 10-15 days after the cancellation is processed. You may contact us to initiate the cancellation.

 

4. What is e-NACH?

This payment method provides you the added convenience of paying your monthly subscription fee directly from your account. The monthly invoice amount will get auto-debited from your account every month.

e-NACH activation is mandatory for all users. Car delivery process will be initiated post e-NACH activation.

 

5. What are the payment methods available?

For Reserve and Security deposit we accept payment from credit card, debit card, net banking and Paytm wallet. For monthly subscription payment, you need to activate e-NACH and the monthly subscription fee will get auto deducted from your bank account.

 

6. When I need to pay the monthly subscription fee?

The monthly subscription fee would be auto debited every month, from that bank account that you have attached with the e-NACH facility with us. Make sure you keep your bank account sufficiently funded, so as to facilitate seamless auto payments every month - No one likes penalties except in Football!

 

7. What is a credit score?

Credit Score is a numeric summary derived from your repayment history of previous or existing loans and credit cards and from the enquiries performed by banks & financial institutions based on your loan application. Your Credit Score is based on the information in your credit information report. Higher the score, the more favorably it is viewed by banks and financial institutions. 

 

8. Why is credit score required?

Credit score is required to check your eligibility for Nissan Intelligent Ownership Subscription Plans. This is the first step in checking your eligibility. A detailed eligibility check is done later based on KYC documents submitted by you.

 

9. I have heard checking the credit score impacts the credit score?

We perform a soft inquiry through Experian to check your Experian Credit score. It does not impact credit score.

 

10. I am not eligible to subscribe due to my low credit score. What to do?

We have a strict eligibility criteria for Nissan Intelligent Ownership and it may happen that your credit score was below the threshold. We get credit scores directly from Experian and we are not involved in creating the credit score. If you think credit score is incorrect, please send an email to Experian at consumer.support@in.experian.com

 

11. How much is the security deposit?

Security deposit is 1 month’s subscription fee. The token amount of Rs 5000 paid will be adjusted in security deposit. For example, You have paid Rs 5000 token amount of Rs 5000 and the security deposit of your car is Rs 20,000. In this case, you will be paying 15,000 (20,000 - 5,000 = 15,000) as the remaining amount.

3. What happens after I select the car?

1. What happens after I select the car ?

It's an easy 6 step process. Once you have selected the car you want to subscribe, we ask you to do the following, all of which can be done on the Nissan website:

  1. Simple eligibility check: A credit score check for your eligibility.
  2. Reserve car: Pay a small token amount to reserve your car.
  3. Add delivery address: Provide us the delivery address for home delivery.
  4. Upload document part-I and part- II: Part-I document can be uploaded on the dashboard and part-II documents should be emailed at subscription@orixindia.com for details eligibility check and verification.
  5. Pay the security deposit: Pay security deposit to confirm the car subscription.
  6. Activate e-NACH auto-payment.

That's all. Once the above steps are complete, we will connect with you to inform you about the delivery of your car on the date of your preference.

 

2. How much time does it take to run a detailed eligibility check and perform document verification?

It typically takes 2-3 working days to perform the eligibility check and document verification. During the eligibility check we may connect with you.

 

3. What KYC documents are required?

Two set of documents are required:

Document part-I: This includes DL and Pan Card. It can be uploaded on the website.

Document Part-II: This includes past 6 months of your salary bank statement, 2 years of  ITR or form 16 and past 3 months of salary slip,

 

4. What if I do not have a few documents?

5. What format of the document is to be sent on email?

Document can be in PDF or image format.

 

6. What should be the email details for sending part-II documents?

4. How does shareback work?

Available on black plate subscription plan.

1. Why should I share the car? How can I reduce my subscription fees through sharing?

Sharing your car allows you to substantially reduce your monthly subscription fees by earning upto 40% of your subscription fees.

Some examples:

  • if you share the car for 15 days, you can reduce the effective subscriptions fees upto 50%
  • if you share the car for 10 days, you can reduce the effective subscriptions fees upto 30%

You can share the car on the Zoomcar platform through the Nissan website when the car is not in your personal use.

2. How do I share my car?

  • You can share your car by creating a listing with just one click using the Nissan website.  
  • Listing refers to the time period during which you make the car available on the Zoomcar platform for short term rentals. Each listing has a defined start date and time, end date and time and choice of designated parking location.
  • When you create a listing, Nissan makes the car available to Zoomcar renter customers for booking during the listed period.
  • One listing can have multiple bookings.

3. How much can I save by sharing the car on the Zoomcar platform?

  • Savings from sharing the car will vary depending on the number of days the car is listed, the days of the week on which the car is listed, and the rental revenue that is obtained from the booking, on the Zoomcar platform.
  • Sharing your car opens up an earning potential of upto 50% of the monthly subscription fee.
  • You earning may also depend on number of bookings on your car.
4. How can I maximize my monthly earnings from sharing the vehicle?
  • We recommend the following to maximize your earnings from vehicle sharing:
  • List your car for long periods (e.g. for more than 24 hours) to increase  your chances of getting bookings.
  • Zoomcar platform has higher demand and booking revenue over weekends and during holiday periods.
  • We will send you communication SMS and push notification in advance of holiday periods to ensure that you have sufficient time to list.
 
5. Is Nissan providing a minimum earning guarantee?

Nissan India does not guarantee the earnings on shareback as the conditions influencing shareback are beyond control of Nissan India.          
 
6. How can I reschedule or cancel my listing?
  • You can create, reschedule or cancel a listing anytime through the Nissan Website.
  • Listings can be rescheduled or cancelled dynamically at no additional cost, provided you give prior notice.
7. Is there a minimum listing period per day or per month?
  • There are "no strings attached" on sharing your car. You can conveniently share your car when yo u don't need it. However, each listing must be for a minimum of 24 hours.
  • The more you share, the more you earn.
8. How will I be informed about bookings during my listing?
  • You can view booking details of upcoming, live and completed bookings on the Nissan Website under the listings tab. Booking details will have information about booking start date and time, end date and time, and revenue earned. Details of the revenue will be shared after the end of booking.
  • We will also inform you about the booking through SMS and push notification a few hours before the booking start time.
9. Where will my car be parked, picked up and dropped from?
  • The car will be parked at your own parking location. This ensures seamless use of the car for personal use as well as listing on the Zoomcar platform, but make sure to not use the car during the listing period.
  • You have the option of specifying up to two designated parking locations where customers can find and access the car.
10. What is my role before each booking?
  • When you create a listing, Nissan motor makes the car available to Zoomcar renter customers for booking. To provide the best in class car renting experience, ensure that your car is "Ready" for bookings. Remember, better the car condition while listing, better the experience for the renters, resulting in even more listings with better quality renters in future. This will maximize your earnings, and keep the car in a great condition for your own use as well.
  • Acar is deemed "Ready" when
  1. it is parked at the designated parking location.
  2. has the key and documents in the glove box.
  3. is in good drivable condition.
  4. has jack, tools and stepney.
  5. is clean ( both exterior and interior).
  6. has at least 50% fuel.
  7. No visible damages.
  8. accessories are in working condition.
  • After a booking is complete, you can fill the end checklist on the Nissan website prior to the start of the next booking. This ensures that all the information regarding the car, the trip, and customer experience is captured so that we can serve you and renters better.
 
11. Who takes care of the fuel of my car before every booking starts?

Under the Self-Serve method you need to take care of the Fuel before each booking.
 
12. What assistance does Zoomcar provide if my car is not returned on time by a customer?
  • Your mobility and income is safeguarded in the event of a late return by Zoomcar renters.
  • You will still get the revenue share for the usage beyond the listing end time.
 
13. What happens if a Zoomcar renter violates traffic rules and a challan is raised against my car ?

Zoomcar will compensate you for any challans raised during bookings.

14. How will Nissan India handle accidents done by the renters?

In the event of any accident caused by Zoomcar  renters, Zoomcar will take care of the logistics and the cost of repair. Having said that, we do understand the inconvenience caused to you because the car wouldn’t be available to you for some time. To make up for it, we will provide a replacement car, provided the subscribed car is in the workshop for more than 72 hours.
 
15. Can I share the replacement car on the zoomcar platform?
 
- No, you cannot share the replacement car that we have given to you while getting your originally subscribed car repaired in our workshop.
 
16. How will service and maintenance of my car be managed?
 
You can request a pick-up service by contacting customer support through Nissan Website. Relax at your home while we get the car serviced and get it back to you. Remember we promised "hassle-free"!
 
17. Who is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the car ?

You are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the car.
 
18. How will I get the earnings made by sharing the car on the Zoomcar renter platform?

For every booking on your car, your revenue share for the same would be credited into your bank account by Zoomcar.
 
19. What is my revenue share from a booking?
  • For a without-fuel booking, you will receive approximately 60% of the revenue generated from each booking, and the zoomcar renter will return the car with the same fuel reading at which he took the car.
20. Who is responsible for cleaning after Renter returns the car?

Subscriber will be responsible for cleaning after Renter returns the car.

5. Cancellation Policy: Orix Auto Infrastructure services

BP Cancellation

1. What if I want to cancel the booking?

Cancellation Policy:

  1. After token payment, but before the payment of security deposit -- Refund Entire Token Amount.
  2. After the payment of security deposit and execution of eNACH to pay monthly Subscription Fees-- If request is submitted before the confirmation of Vehicle delivery date by Orix Auto Infrastructure Services then the full security deposit, excluding payment gateway charges shall be refunded within 10 working days.
  3. If the cancellation request is made after OAIS has confirmed the Vehicle delivery date-- Entire amount of the security deposit shall be forfeited by Orix Auto Infrastructure Services plus one month Subscription Fee in lieu of the notice period shall be encashed by Orix Auto Infrastructure Services against one of the undated cheque.
  4. Cancellation request after the Vehicle is delivered -- The same shall be treated as Premature Termination of the Agreement and you shall be required to pay the Premature Termination Amount as specified in Annexure I of the Agreement.

6. About Fair Usage Policy

1. How many KMS can I run the car?

  1. We have a fair usage policy for the total distance run during the subscription tenure. This is typical for any leasing arrangement. Don’t worry though, as we give you up to an average 1000 km per month during the subscription.
  2. On an average , private cars travel 1000km per month in India. There is no limit on the distance run when the car is on a booking after you have listed the car on Zoomcar Platform.
  3. Do note that in case you drive for extra kilometers beyond the specified limits , Rs7/KM will be harged at the end of the subscription period.
